If you actually scrutinize other news outlets without loyalties, you’ll realize that they are ones who are imbalanced. In most cases, you’re lucky if there’s more than five minutes of weather coverage in a given hour. The weather channel is telling the stories that the mainstream anti-weather media doesn’t want you to know.

@brainysnaeha Definitely Vostok is the coldest by far, even colder than the South Pole. But at the same time you don’t get the big winds deep in the interior. Black Island is probably one of the windiest spots, if the the windiest.
Weather wise McMurdo Station is a walk in the park.
See the Vostok Station and you’ll know what’s Antarctica weather really like!

@etiendre You are indeed correct, at the time I posted this I was reading off two charts that had different values posted. We basically use -100F / -75C as a guide.
I thought condition 1 had to be -73C and below???
